The 5th and 6th students were super excited to begin their VEX IQ robot builds today! Each group has a short video to share their accomplishments for the day. We are working on our team work skills and descriptions of our accomplishments. Watch for more technical vocabulary as we go. I can't wait to see all the robots in action!!!
Week 2 showed improvements with the construction and technical language of the 5th and 6th grade Robotics and Engineering students. You are doing great! I am very proud of each of you!!!
Week 3 had a few twists and turns. First of all it was the 100th Day of School. These 100 year old students had fun with the "new" technology. Teams analyzed their builds and realized where improvements needed to be made. We are at about the half way mark for this project!!!
Week 4 had a little set back for some groups because several members of the class have been sick. We combined teams and moved ahead. We're looking forward to having everyone back and healthy. Many groups are very close to complete their build. Then will come the programming. LOVE STEM!!!
After being off one week to celebrate Valentine's Day and Student Appreciation Week. The students are back on track with Week 5. Most of the groups are connecting the cortex and cables to the sensors. We are another step closer to programming!
Week 6, 7 & 8 Still Preparing the VEX IQ Robots!!!! Need them ready for Robotics and Engineering Day.
Weeks 9-12 were spent improving the robot design, testing the robot and completing any last minute additions.
